Rose Bowl Game – Ohio State Buckeyes vs Washington State Cougars

Ohio State versus Who? Really? Well, alright then.

All is not lost for the Ohio State Buckeyes following their first loss of the season. They still have games against Michigan State and Michigan, and potentially the Big Ten title game, to get themselves back into the College Football Playoff. But if this game against Purdue is a sign to come for the Buckeyes, the Rose Bowl is the best option for the Buckeyes. And Purdue is not a bad team, they’ve been playing really great football, now winners of four straight, but a high-caliber team like Ohio State should never lose by 29 points.

The Washington State Cougars defeated the Oregon Ducks 34-20 this past weekend. Despite being up 27-0 at halftime, the Cougars allowed 20 straight points by the Ducks to bring Oregon within one score of tying things up. But it was the Cougars’ night, and a late Gardner Minshew touchdown pass sealed the game and provided the Cougars the win they needed to stay in the race of the Pac-12 North. The Cougars face another tough test this weekend as they go head-to-head with the Stanford Cardinal. The loser could be eliminated from Pac-12 title contention.
