4. Joshua Kelley will continue red-hot streak
The current worst-kept secret in the Pac-12 has exposed himself over the past few games, rushing for over 120 yards in four consecutive contests. Joshua Kelley looks like the savior for the Bruins in the backfield and he gives this team something it hasn’t had in years: an adequate run game.
Kelley transferred in from UC Davis and has given Chip Kelly a reason to be excited. The former NFL and Oregon head coach has prided himself on having a solid run game and with Soso Jamabo struggling int he Jim Mora era, Kelly may have been forced into a different route — that and Jamabo is out for the year.
Kelley is going to keep the ball rolling into this one with a big performance against Utah’s usually-stout run defense which allows less than 80 yards per game.
Just how well will he do? I’m going with 160-plus yards, the best game of his UCLA career. He’s been turning heads for weeks now and he’ll put the offense on his back, if need be.
Look out for this kid as he will give the visiting Utes plenty of problems.
