Syracuse reached bowl eligibility before November hit, as the Orange toppled No. 22 NC State 51-41 at the Carrier Dome on Saturday. The Orange built up a 24-7 lead in the first quarter, then held on as the Wolfpack chipped away at the lead. It was a resounding performance by a team that has looked due for an upset in recent weeks.

Their narrow loss to Clemson makes sense, though falling to Pitt the followed week was far less explicable for the Orange. Without further explanation, the Orange are now two games back in the ACC Atlantic. Eric Dungey remains the main focal point for the offense, as the quarterback threw for 411 yards and three scores in the victory.

Now Syracuse turns their attention to a deceptively tough test at Wake Forest next week. The Wolfpack follow that up with November contests against Louisville, Notre Dame, and Boston College.
