Last week I said that Oklahoma State and TCU were at pretty similar spots, and that one of them would rise up to the middle of the conference in the last five weeks, while the other crumbled to the back of the pack with the Kansas schools. My prediction was that the school that would take the step forward would be TCU.

That school will not be TCU. It may not be Oklahoma State either, but it won’t be TCU. While they should have beaten Kansas, they didn’t, and that’s embarrassing. Their turnover troubles, their inability to get the Jayhawks off the field, all of it, is just embarrassing. I think TCU is just about done this year. They’ve lost three straight, and five of their last six. They may be able to beat Kansas State, but I don’t see them winning more than one or two more games this year.

It feels a little strange to only drop Baylor one spot after they were decimated by West Virginia, but i can’t justify putting any of the teams behind them above the Bears, so seventh it is. There’s really not much to talk about from this game. Jalan McClendon looked quite a bit better than Charlie Brewer at quarterback, the Bears couldn’t run at all, and their defense had no chance. This game was over in the first quarter.
