College Football Playoff: Longhorns fall, Wildcats rise in New Year’s Six projections
Allstate Sugar Bowl – Oklahoma Sooners vs LSU Tigers
First matchup between these two since the 2004 BCS Championship Game.
The Oklahoma Sooners take on the Texas Tech Red Raiders this Saturday, in a game that has “trap” written all over it. After the Red Raiders, the Sooners take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys and West Virginia Mountaineers in two of their final three games. Texas Tech has the offense to keep up with the Sooners and their defense is better than it appears. The Sooners have a lot on the line in this game and in a game their not playing in. The match-up between Texas and West Virginia will determine a lot for the Sooners as well, in not only the Big 12 but in the New Year’s Six bowl games.
The LSU Tigers are ready silence the remaining doubters with a win over the Alabama Crimson Tide this Saturday. Some believe the SEC is in a down year but that’s not the case for LSU. The Tigers are actually this good and have a legitimate chance of taking down the Tide.
This battle between conference rivals look to be a low scoring one as both defenses are set to have a big game. The fact the Tide haven’t played in a close game good prove to the advantage of the Tigers. Will LSU shock the college football world or will the Tide put an end to the Tigers’ season?
