Saturday 3:30-6:30

Georgia at Kentucky, 3:30 p.m. EST, CBS

I’m not convinced this won’t be a blowout, but this is a top ten matchup that basically decides the SEC East, so it’ll be worth watching. Benny Snell should be able to run on Georgia’s defense, which may keep it close, but I think Georgia is just too talented for Kentucky to win here.

One sentence sell: This is one of the biggest games of the day.

West Virginia at Texas, 3:30 p.m. EST, FOX

Like the game before it, I’m not entirely convinced that West Virginia doesn’t just blast Texas here. However, Texas plays up to competition, and after last week’s loss, they may be pumped up. I think this is going to be a high scoring battle, which will serve as a nice contrast to the defensive battle in Lexington at the same time.

One sentence sell: If West Virginia wins, they may become the de facto Big 12 leader, regardless of what Oklahoma does this weekend.

Penn State at Michigan, 3:45 p.m. EST, ESPN

Michigan looks like one of the best teams in the country, led by their excellent defense and an offense that seems to improve by the week. Penn State seems to be headed in the opposite direction, but this should still be a good game, because it is every season.

One sentence sell: Michigan’s chances at the playoff clear up quite a bit if they can win this game.
