1. McKenzie Milton fights through struggles

It was far from a perfect night for the returning McKenzie Milton to the starting lineup, as the usually accurate gunslinger struggled with his control.

Milton, a junior from Hawaii, missed his first game late last month since his freshman season in 2016 when he didn’t play vs. East Carolina after also sitting out the first two dates with South Carolina State and Michigan.

Last year, it was Milton leading the Scott Frost-offense to a perfect 13-0 record that culminated with a 34-27 victory over Auburn in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl.

The Knights, though, might have found their primary running back, as sophomore Greg McCrae followed up a five-carry, 99-yard performance vs. East Carolina with 188 yards and a touchdown.

McCrae, a Miami native, ran for 151 yards last year and had not eclipsed the 64-yard mark before his breakout showing on the road vs. the Pirates. He was part of a 318-yard rushing attack for UCF.
