3. LSU fails to deliver again

It’s become a troublesome trend for the Bayou Bengals when it comes to stepping up in big games. Earlier this year, LSU was unable to score a victory on the road at Florida, but they rebounded by throttling Georgia.

That seemed to be a good turning point, but once again, Alabama proved to be a thorn in the side of the Tigers, shutting them out in a Top-3 SEC matchup on prime-time television.

Last season, LSU seemed to be hitting its stride following wins over Florida and Auburn before being silenced by the Crimson Tide again. In 2016, Alabama pitched a shutout, a year removed from halting a 7-0 start by the Tigers to the season.

LSU must rebound to save its season with games against Arkansas, Rice and Texas A&M to conclude the season before a bowl game. Where they land will definitely be decided over the final three dates.
