1. Ian Book continues to dominate

When Brian Kelly has the right quarterback to direct his offense, he looks like a genius. Despite not putting Ian Book in as the starter to begin the year, Kelly made the right call to do just that when he replaced Brandon Wimbush before the Wake Forest game in September.

All Book has done since is thrown for over 1,500 yards with 15 touchdowns. He has back-to-back 300-yard performances, including a 22-for-34, 343-yard, two-touchdown game against Northwestern in a steady downpour of rain much of the night.

Book showed his athletic ability to seal the victory, executing a perfect read-option keeper for a 23-yard touchdown. After failing to break the 24-point mark pre-Book, Notre Dame has surpassed 30 points in five of six since.
