Clemson Football: 5 players who earned Blitz Stickers in Week 10
By Dana Becker
1. Dexter Lawrence, DL
When you are one of the top prospects for the upcoming NFL Draft, it is easy to rest on your skills. But Dexter Lawrence, along with the rest of the Clemson defensive line that returned for another crack at the national title, are not like most.
Lawrence lined up alongside his fellow future NFL draftee this past Saturday in what the Tigers refer to as their “Fridge Package,” powering his 300-plus pound body into the end zone for a touchdown.
Who else was in the backfield with Lawrence on that play? None other than Wilkins, who had his own highlight moment in the victory two weeks ago over Florida State.
Lawrence, though, wasn’t the only “unique” situation during the blowout, as left tackle Mitch Hyatt caught a pass in a game in which he set a new program record for snaps taken, while Will Swinney, son of head coach Dabo Swinney, had his first career touchdown in the fourth quarter on an eight-yard catch.
