Washington made up for last year’s loss to Stanford with a 27-23 takedown of the Cardinal on Saturday in Seattle. The Huskies kept pace with rival Washington State in the Pac-12 North, and they will push back up into the College Football Playoff Top 25 for the first time this year after getting to seven wins.

Myles Gaskin came back after sitting out the past two games, and the running back returned with a vengeance. Gaskin posted his first 100-yard rushing day since the beginning of October, finishing with 148 yards and a touchdown on 28 carries. He outdueled Bryce Love, who was held to 71 yards and a score by the Washington defense.

After playing 10 straight weeks, Washington gets a well-deserved bye in Week 11. The Huskies come back to the field with a home date against Oregon State on November 17, then turn around and head to Pullman for the Apple Cup. As long as the Huskies aren’t upset by the Beavers the week before, the Apple Cup will serve as the division championship game for the second time in three years.
