Auburn is going to launch up into the College Football Playoff Top 25 this week thanks to their 28-24 takedown of Texas A&M at home on Saturday. Down 10 points with less than 10 minutes remaining, the Tigers won the SEC West battle thanks to a fourth-quarter comeback capped by the winning touchdown pass with 1:41 remaining.

Jarrett Stidham was 18-of-29 for 239 yards and two touchdown passes, as the Tigers quarterback efficiently handled the A&M secondary. They needed every yard Stidham could produce, because the Aggies bottled up the Auburn running game. Gus Malzahn’s backfield finished with just 19 rushing yards as a team.

Despite their struggles on the ground, Auburn is now eligible for postseason play after getting their sixth win of the year. The Tigers saved their two toughest games of the regular season for the end, as road trips to Georgia and Alabama are sandwiched around a home date against FBS neophyte Liberty.
