Oregon snapped a two-game losing skid by scoring a 42-21 victory over UCLA and former head coach Chip Kelly this past weekend, as Justin Herbert got back to his old ways. Herbert threw for 264 yards.

Dillon Mitchell, who recently missed time in practice alongside Herbert after injuries sustained vs. Arizona, had 156 yards to lead the receiving group. He now has four games this year with over 105 yards.

After starting the year 5-1 with the lone loss coming in overtime to Stanford in a game they controlled, the Ducks are now bowl eligible at 6-3 with dates against Utah, Arizona State and Oregon State remaining on the docket.

Honestly, Stanford probably doesn’t deserve to be ranked this high, but the rest of the Pac-12 really hasn’t forced the issue to knock them further back down the line. The Cardinal lost for the second straight week and are now just 1-4 over their last five, defeating only Arizona State by seven since a win in late September over Oregon.

Stanford did get Bryce Love back for a second consecutive week, as the former Heisman runner-up ran for 71 yards — just like he did in a loss to Washington State last week. KJ Costello had his fifth 300-yard effort of the season, throwing for 347.

Three weeks remain for the Cardinal to get bowl eligible, as they close with the weaker portion of their schedule. After hosting Oregon State this coming Saturday, they hit the road to meet California and UCLA.
