2. Clemson at Boston College

Dabo Swinney‘s Clemson Tigers are 9-0 and ranked 2nd overall per the S&P+. They’re on the road in week 11 to face the rollercoaster Boston College Eagles. Coach Steve Addazio has the Eagles at 7-2 and ranked 38th per the S&P+. Clemson is 3rd in the nation in yards and points per play, even when Trevor Lawrence struggles. The Eagles have a tenacious pass rush led by Wyatt Ray and Zach Allen who have combined for 14.5 sacks on the season.

The Eagles are offensively proficient but not quite at Clemson’s level. BC’s offense is led by quarterback Anthony Brown and running back AJ Dillon. Brown has thrown 16 touchdowns with five interceptions while Dillon has ran for over 800 yards and has nine touchdowns from scrimmage. Dillon was injured and his big comeback was in an upset win over the Miami Hurricanes.

Clemson’s Lawrence has averaged 8.2 yards per passing attempt while throwing 18 touchdowns with only three interceptions. He intelligently rides Travis Etienne who has ran for 999 yards (8.6 yards per carry) and has scored 16 times from scrimmage. The Tigers defense has been on fire as of late as Clelin Ferrell and Christian Wilkins have combined for 21 tackles for loss in 2018.

Prediction: Clemson by 6
