Thursday night

Wake Forest at NC State, 7:30 p.m. EST, ESPN

This isn’t “fun” or “good” in the traditional sense, but NC State is pretty good, and Wake Forest can score 50 points completely at random. They’re like the Plinko board of football teams. Maybe this week the disc (Is it a disc? Sure, why not) will fall onto the space that makes that happen, and this will be actually interesting.

One sentence sell: Matt Colburn, Wake Forest’s running back, dunked on Bobby Petrino a couple of weeks ago, and may have a repeat performance on Thursday.

Friday night

Fresno State at Boise State, 10:15 p.m. EST, ESPN2

Well hey, a good MWC game! Thankfully, it’s at 10:15 eastern on a Friday night so exactly ten people will stay up to watch what should be an entertaining game. Great stuff, ESPN. Way to optimize those ratings. Just killing it.

One sentence sell: Both teams are really good, and if Boise State wins, we’ll probably see a rematch in the conference title game.
