3. The UCF offense isn’t just a one-man show

Quarterback McKenzie Milton has drawn some interest as a Heisman candidate, and for good reason. He’s had several video game-esque performances as the leader of a team that’s won 22 consecutive games and counting.

Milton completed 17-of-21 passes for 200 yards and two touchdowns against Navy, adding 62 yards on the ground a rushing score. Those are good numbers, but nowhere near Milton’s offensive ceiling. Perhaps the scariest part of the UCF offense is they didn’t need Milton to be a superhero.

Eight different players registered at least one reception and running back Adrian Killins was a reliable force in the backfield. His consistency this season and throughout his career at UCF has been remarkable. He’s not one to carry the team on his back and have a 200-yard, two touchdown game. But he’ll pound the rock and pick up five or six yards per carry.

Greg McCrae did damage on the ground as well. Those two combined for 194 yards and a touchdown. When those running backs are effective and Milton is at the helm, there’s not much that can stop this offense from putting up enough points to win.
