No. 3: Nobody’s going to beat them

Alabama’s run through their 2018 football schedule like Forrest Gump ran cross-country in the 1994 blockbuster – with ease. They’ve beaten, well let’s just look at the schedule:

  • Louisville, 54-14 (current record of 2-8)
  • Arkansas State, 57-7 (6-4)
  • Ole Miss, 62-7 (5-5)
  • Texas A&M, 45-23 (6-4)
  • Louisiana, 56-14 (5-5)
  • Arkansas, 65-31 (2-8)
  • Missouri, 39-10 (6-4)
  • Tennessee, 58-21 (5-5)
  • LSU, 29-0 (8-2)
  • Mississippi State, 24-0 (6-4)

That’s not necessarily a gauntlet, with a combined opponent’s record of only 59-59, but the Crimson Tide will still have to face The Citadel (4-5) Saturday and Auburn (6-4) to close out the regular season.

Following those two games, Alabama will play in the SEC Championship Game against Georgia (9-1). With two weeks remaining in the regular season, both divisions of the SEC have their champions already lined up. It’s amazing how these teams have made it this far with such tough conferences.
