Clemson Football: 3 likely bowl scenarios for Tigers in 2018
The Capital One Orange Bowl
The Capital One Orange Bowl is normally designated for the winner of the ACC title if they are not selected for the playoff, however, that isn’t an option this year as the bowl is slated for one of the two semifinal matchups.
Currently, the Tigers would be the number two seed and face off against the number three seed Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
After a sluggish start to their season with a tough victory over the Michigan Wolverines, Notre Dame decided to make a change at quarterback in September. Brandon Wimbush has always been a threat running the ball, but even with improved work this offseason he was still incredibly inaccurate.
As Ian Book took over Notre Dame’s offense has thrived, while the defense continues to make enough plays to keep the Fighting Irish undefeated. Is Notre Dame a top 3 team on paper? That’s a major question, as they have talent on both sides of the ball, but the overall depth of Clemson would be a major problem for the Fighting Irish.
So those are the three bowl projections we have for the Clemson Tigers heading into Week 12. Comment below with your thoughts and let’s get ready for another great weekend of games!
