1. Notre Dame’s experience

A big advantage for Notre Dame will be their experience they hold over Syracuse in key spots. While Eric Dungey holds the experience edge in the quarterback battle, most of the other key positions are led by Notre Dame.

The Irish have a fantastic veteran linebacker combo in seniors Te’von Coney and Drue Tranquill. Other senior leaders include running back Dexter Williams and defensive lineman Jerry Tillery, who will likely be a first-round pick.

This is a critical game for Notre Dame in its march toward the College Football Playoff.

If they get past this upstart, but very good Syracuse team, I fully expect to see them on New Years Day fighting for a chance to play for a national championship. They have the team to do it and they definitely have the leadership to do it as well.
