2. Broncos pile up yards, touchdowns vs. Lobos

Along with Brett Rypien’s big night controlling the offense at quarterback, Alexander Mattison recorded his second consecutive 100-yard game and the fourth of the year.

Mattison finished with 145 yards and a score, adding to the 144-yard performance he had last week in a win over Fresno State. That set a career-high for the running back, who has also ran for 136 and 115 yards this season.

Sean Modster broke out in a big way, as he hauled in nine receptions for 129 yards and scored three touchdowns. The 5-foot-11 senior is in the midst of his best season to date, going over the 800-yard mark thanks to three 100-plus games this year.

With Mattison, Modster, A.J. Richardson and others giving Rypien plenty of targets, the Boise State offense appears to be clicking at just the right time ahead of taking on Utah State. The Broncos had over 400 total yards on the night.
