Boise State Football: 3 takeaways from blowout over New Mexico

1. Is New Mexico looking to dump Bob Davie?
Following a sixth consecutive loss the heat is going to rise to boiling for Bob Davie at New Mexico. The Lobos once again looked over-matched in falling to Boise State.
Sitting at 3-8 with a game at home vs. Wyoming left, there is no much Davie can do to really impress the New Mexico boosters. Which is a tough pill to swallow considering they are two years removed from a win in the New Mexico Bowl and a 9-4 season.
The Lobos seemed set to make another run last year, starting out the season 3-2 with wins over Tulsa and Air Force, but they dropped seven in a row to finish 3-9.
Health as been a big issue for the team this season, as several starters have fallen by the wayside to injuries. The option offense, which seemed to be a great decision at one point, hasn’t produced a 100-yard game by a player since a Sept. 15 win over New Mexico State.
