Pittsburgh punctuated a surprise run to the ACC Coastal title with a 34-13 takedown of Wake Forest on the road in Week 12. It was a resounding performance by the Panthers, who held the Demon Deacons under 300 yards of total offense. They did an especially strong job of bottling up Wake Forest’s ground game, allowing just 79 net rushing yards to their hosts.

Kenny Pickett had a huge game at quarterback to guide the division champions to victory, finishing with 316 yards and three touchdowns through the air on 23-of-30 passing. Finding space to advance the ball on the ground was difficult, but as a team the Panthers compiled a combined 154 yards and two rushing scores.

Pitt will climb up into the College Football Playoff Top 25 this week after booking their trip to the ACC championship game opposite Clemson. No matter what happens against Miami on Thanksgiving weekend, the Panthers are guaranteed to represent the Coastal this year.
