3. Stuffing — Clemson Tigers

Stuffing is a solid menu option at Thanksgiving dinner. It’s tasty, rich in flavor, and pairs nicely with a savory gravy dollop on top. Heck, it might even be your favorite dish of the holiday. The Clemson Tigers are many fans’ consensus No. 2-ranked team in America right now. We haven’t seen them face much quality competition in a watered-down ACC this year, but they might have the best shot at knocking off Alabama in the postseason. Maybe. Just like you might go for third helpings on stuffing instead of more turkey. Just think about it.

4. Bread Rolls — Michigan Wolverines

It was tempting to say Alabama here for obvious reasons, but we’ll stick with the Wolverines. Winners of ten straight games after a season-opening loss to Notre Dame, playing excellent defense, led by a swash-buckling coach, Michigan is — wait for it — on a “roll” entering Saturday’s matchup against Ohio State.

5. Turkey — Notre Dame Fighting Irish

With the obligatory Thanksgiving turkey, many Americans are truly entrenched in their opinions: light meat or dark meat. Skin or no skin. Thigh or wing. How you bake it, braise it, or deep fry it. The Fighting Irish are no different. Though loathed by many people, Notre Dame also has a strong national following, an extensive alumni network, and a “feel-good” rooting interest for many Catholics.

But again, the haters are out there. Ask OU fans (“they broke the 46-game winning streak”) or traditional rivals like Michigan or USC.
