This edition of “The Game” lived up to the hype and then some. What did we learn about the Michigan vs. Ohio State football battle?

This game has been talked about for months and months. Michigan has been on a “revenge tour” as they made a push for the playoff. That tour game down to this matchup and all in all- it didn’t play out the way that they wanted it to.

On the other side, Ohio State showed up and showed out when it meant the most, winning 62-39. Let’s talk takeaways, shall we?

3. Is it time for Michigan to move on from Jim Harbaugh?

This could be the last year for Urban Meyer at Ohio State, though that may be more due to health concerns than on field issues. On the other side of this rivalry, people over in Michigan seem to love their head coach, but when is enough finally enough? When will they no longer be OK with being pushed around by the Buckeyes? When will it no longer be okay to not be at the top of the Big Ten as they should be in recent years?

Harbaugh is 50-39 all time at Michigan. He has yet to coach a team that has beat Ohio State — the game that they say means the most to them in the entire season.

He went out and got Shea Patterson from the SEC, saying that he was the missing link for this team. They already had the best defense in the league, by quite a bit. What happened?

I’ll tell you what happened, the Wolverines don’t have the head coach to take them to a higher place than to the “well we almost got there” plateau. Shea Patterson wasn’t the answer. A new offensive play caller won’t be the answer. More strong defenders won’t be the answer. The answer is to say goodbye to Jim Harbaugh.
