Oklahoma is not a playoff team

The debate on how the College Football Playoff Committee should determine who is invited to the four team playoff is ever evolving. Oklahoma is now 11-1, with their only loss being to a good Texas team. But they are still not a playoff team, and here’s why.

The argument for the Sooners to make it into the College Football Playoff is that their offense is so good, that they will simply outscore any opponent they face. And it is true their offense is incredible. However, their offense has only played against bad defenses. The only team to hold Oklahoma under 30 points was Army. Army! The Army Black Knights have hardly a handful of players that are even close to 300 pounds. From a physical standpoint, the Black Knights are nowhere near the level of any SEC team.
