2018 Heisman Trophy Power Rankings: Field nearly set after Rivalry Week

All eyes were on Kyler Murray supplanting Tua at the top of the Heisman leaderboards after Friday night. What does Tua Tagovailoa go out and do? Make easy work of the Auburn Tigers secondary in the Iron Bowl.

The Heisman favorite led the Crimson Tide to a decisive 52-21 victory over their arch rival. He finished the game 25-32 for 324 yards passing and five touchdowns without throwing a pick.

Ball control has been Tagovailoa’s sticking point this season, as he has thrown just two interceptions on 269 passing attempts. He has also thrown 36 touchdown passes with a 70% completion percentage.

The best player on the best team in the country normally doesn’t get all the love for the Heisman, but Tua has clearly shown he is a dynamic once in a generation talent who should bring home college football’s most coveted hardware this year.
