The quality quarterbacks that Oklahoma University has collected over the years is an impressive list, with Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray being the most recent ones. It’s almost time to add Pinnacle High School’s Spencer Rattler to that list.

Rattler is considered the No. 1 quarterback in the class of 2019 by all three major recruiting services. Whether he plays from Day 1 in Norman, though, is yet to be determined. Could he take the torch that Mayfield passed Murray and run with it? After all, the Sooners are still fighting for the 2018 Big 12 Championship and a shot at the College Football Playoff.

After committing to the Sooners during the summer of 2017, Rattler earned 15 other scholarship offers, including Alabama, Arizona and Arizona State.

Rattler is the No. 20 ranked recruit by 247Sports, No. 17 by ESPN and No. 21 Rivals. One of the best high school quarterbacks in Arizona history, Rattler became the state’s first signal-caller to surpass 11,000 passing yards in a career.
