The rich get richer in college football, and with the commitment of Fort Bend Travis High School’s Arjei Henderson, the Sooners continue their dominance on the recruiting trail.

The 6-foot-2 wide receiver from Richmond, Texas caught the eye of every big-time program in the country, receiving 46 scholarship offers, including Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Notre Dame, and others. He chose the Sooners, verbally committing on April 13, 2018.

The production of current Sooners Marquise Brown and CeeDee Lamb likely influenced Henderson’s decision, as he’s seen how productive those two have been with two quarterbacks in as many seasons. Head coach Lincoln Riley’s system seems to favor electric wide receivers, and Henderson is just that.

Henderson is ranked the No. 104 recruit by 247Sports, No. 92 by ESPN, and No. 34 by Rivals. There’s always a ton of talent in Norman, and Henderson will simply add to that group in 2019.
