Tom Herman and the Longhorns add another suspected-wide receiver in Cuero, Texas, athlete Jordan Whittington. His primary recruiter, Drew Mehringer, is the Longhorns’ Passing Game Coordinator.

Whittington is a 6-foot-1, 200-pound receiver who earned 28 scholarship offers, including one from every Big 12 school except Iowa State and Kansas State. He verbally committed to the Longhorns on March 3, 2018.

He attends Cuero High School in Cuero, Texas, and is on the All-American Bowl roster. He could see playing time early in Austin if any of the Longhorns’ current wide receivers forego their senior season. Whittington is ranked No. 49 by 247Sports, No. 39 by ESPN and No. 31 by Rivals.
