We are all witnesses

The UCF football program and its fans have influenced college football in more than one way.

If it weren’t for the two-year dominance by the Knights, the role of the College Football Playoff Committee would not have been discussed nearly as heavily. The best team versus most deserving team discussion would have been much shorter.

If it weren’t for UCF, the Group of 5 conferences would be living in the dark. Instead, many more college football fans are aware of teams like Fresno State, Boise State, Appalachian State, UAB, and many more. Calls for a playoff expansion, to include spots specifically for Group of 5 teams have been made, and are now extremely credible. All of this is due to the performance of the UCF Knights and their fans.

The Knights fans, in general, are the best in the country. Their genuine love and support for their team is unmatched. But what is most impressive is the way they treat visiting fans. I, personally, have had the most welcoming and hospitable experience from the UCF fans out of any other place I’ve been. These fans are an example of how we should all cheer for our team, but also remember the beauty that is college football.
