18. player. 87. . DT. Auburn Tigers. Derrick Brown

Losing first-round stud defensive tackle Star Lotulelei has left a void in the Panthers defensive line. He helped lead the Panthers defense during their run to the Super Bowl a few seasons ago, but his departure hasn’t slowed down the Panthers on that side of the ball. He signed a five-year $50 million deal with the Bills and Carolina should use their first pick on a quality replacement.

The Panthers are currently sixth in the league giving up just 96 yards per game on the ground, but with the talented offenses in the division, stocking up on the front seven is a necessity.

Brown can plug up the gaps against the offensive line, and get to the point of attack very quickly. He has been very consistent for the Tigers, posting 45 tackles with 9.5 tackles for a loss while helping Auburn finish the regular season with one of the best rushing defenses in the SEC.

If the Panthers don’t go for a defensive lineman look for them to target a wide receiver.
