Travis Etienne has been the X-factor for the Clemson Tigers offense this season and put up excellent numbers against Pittsburgh to jump back into the Heisman conversation.

The ACC Conference player of the year ran the ball 12 times for 156 yards and two scores, including the opening play from scrimmage, as he scampered through the defense for 75 yards to paydirt.

Etienne has been consistent running the ball all season, as he has scored two touchdowns in each of the last three games, and has found the end zone in 11 of the 13 games the Tigers have played.

On the season he has 176 carries for 1,463 yards and 21 touchdowns. He is averaging over eight yards per carry this season and faces a tough Notre Dame defense in the semifinals of the college football playoff.

The sophomore should lead one of the nation’s best offenses next season, and will certainly be in the preseason top 5 for the Heisman Trophy next year.
