2018 Heisman Trophy Power Rankings: Can Kyler Murray catch Tua Tagovailoa?
After torching the top-ranked passing defense for six touchdown passes in the rivalry game against Michigan, Dwayne Haskins led the Ohio State offense into the Big 10 title game against Northwestern.
The story all season regarding Ohio State’s offense has been its inability to get off to fast starts in their games, as they struggled to score points in the first half in a number of winnable games.
That seemed to be Haskins biggest drawback as a Heisman contender, even though adjustments were made at halftime that allowed him to put up excellent numbers.
In the Big Ten title game, he played arguably his second best game of the season. He finished 34 for 41 with 499 yards passing, five touchdowns and an interception.
On the season Haskins has thrown for 4,580 yards with 47 touchdowns and eight interceptions. This amazing season has seen Haskins set Big 10 records and help lead his team to a Rose Bowl matchup against Washington in a traditional Pac 12 vs Big 10 matchup.
If Haskins decides to skip the draft he should be in the preseason top 2 for next year’s Heisman watch list.
