The Crimson Tide’s best player had his worst performance of the season against Georgia, before leaving the game with an ankle injury. Before exiting the game the Alabama offense struggled to move the ball.

They were in a 28-14 hole, and Tagovailoa finished the game 10 for 25 with 164 yards one touchdown, and two interceptions. Jalen Hurts came in and helped lead Alabama to a victory and the number one seed in the college football playoff, but it was clear that there are a few holes in Tua’s game that can be exploited by the right defense.

Tagovailoa finished the season 199 for 294 with 3,353 passing yards, 37 touchdowns and just four interceptions (two of which came against Georgia).

One poor game shouldn’t cost Tagovailoa the Heisman trophy, the same way one excellent game by Murray shouldn’t vault him to the top of everyone’s leaderboards.

I fully expect Tua to hoist the Heisman Trophy this weekend, and have a chance to win his second national championship in as many seasons.
