Baylor is set to square off with Vanderbilt on December 27 against Vanderbilt in the Texas Bowl. It’s a Thursday night primetime game, and for a program that was so down so recently, it’s a great opportunity to make a statement that Baylor is back and operating the right way. A win shows progress in the right direction, and makes me think Baylor could win eight or nine games next year.

TCU is playing Cal in the Cheez-It Bowl (yeah sure, why not) on December 26, in a game that may or may not feature any points at all. Like Oklahoma State, it was a disappointing year for TCU, but I think a bowl win, and what should be improved quarterback play next year are possible reasons of hope for next season in Fort Worth.
