The Browns has proven that they are willing to take huge risks in the draft, and many of them have appeared to have paid off. Most recently, Baker Mayfield, as last year’s heavily debated draft pick by the Browns, has exceeded expectations.

Zach Allen is this year’s Baker Mayfield, in the sense that all the talent in the world is present, yet he does not possess the prototypical body and athletic ability of an NFL outside linebacker. Allen is slightly larger than most outside linebackers, but does not have the raw strength as most down lineman.

Allen has been, by far been, most destructive player on Boston College’s defense for the past two years and all signs suggest he won’t stop in the NFL. Many teams will likely shy away from Allen, especially after his combine numbers. But the Browns are more interested in-game play vice 40-yard sprints.
