Nick Bosa. 2. player. 42. . Edge. Ohio State

Ohio State’s Nick Bosa would likely have been the number one pick in the 2019 NFL Draft if it were for his season-ending core muscle injury. Bosa very well could have returned to the Buckeyes after recovering from the injury. However, he decided to continue to take the rest of the season off to prepare for the draft.

Bosa has demonstrated the explosiveness and strength required of an NFL edge rusher. He has the capability of playing as a down lineman, but also the quickness to get to the quarterback from a standing position. And possibly most importantly, Bosa can help in coverage as well in any case he is asked to drop back. His versatility and overall athleticism is what make Nick Bosa so valuable.

The San Fransisco 49ers have plenty of talent and youth on the offensive side of the ball. However, they will be truly building their team’s defense by pairing Nick Bosa with DeForest Buckner on the line. Bosa as the number two pick is a no-brainer.
