No. 1: Ali Jennings, Wide Receiver

The biggest get for West Virginia football during the early signing period is wide receiver Ali Jennings. Losing Gary Jennings and David Sills to graduation depletes one of the most lethal passing attacks in all of college football, but West Virginia continues to reload at the position year in and year out.

The 6-foot-2 Jennings is a three-star recruit from Highland Springs, Va., and chose the Mountaineers over Air Force, Army, Georgia Tech, Marshall and Michigan State, among others.

It appears to be bigger than just football for Jennings in Morgantown, though, as he highlighted visiting WVU Medicine’s Children’s Hospital while on his unofficial visit at WVU. He’s also excited about playing for Holgorsen and wide receivers coach Tyron Carrier.

There’ll be plenty of players fighting for snaps at wide receiver, and Jennings could squeeze his way into the rotation with a strong showing over the summer. Excellence is expected from wide receivers at WVU, though, and in Jennings, the Mountaineers have another player to hopefully fit that mold.
