2. Frank Ladson

Clemson isn’t losing much in the passing game this season. Key contributors like Tee Higgins and Amari Rodgers are around for another season and Justyn Ross seems to be the next big thing when Higgins inevitably leaves for the NFL after the 2019 season. Trevor Lawrence is also around for at least two more years and Clemson is already heavily in the hunt for 2020’s top quarterback DJ Uiagalelei. So why would Frank Ladson be in line for an early impact at Clemson?

Well, Ladson comes in as the No. 4 receiver in the 2019 class and was a four-star recruit with the skills of a five-star. Ladson decided to go with Clemson over hometown school Miami and Committed mid-April and has fans everywhere excited to see him play.

The newest addition to Wide Receiver U is long and athletic and set the South Dade High School record in receiving yards with 1,133 yards as a senior. Ladson is 6-foot-4 but runs like he’s under 6-foot. He has a long stride and incredible hands. He’s not afraid to high point the football and will most certainly see the field in a similar capacity to how Justyn Ross did this season.

Clemson loses Trevion Thompson and the hero of the national championship game Hunter Renfrow and could see some guys transfer with the influx of receivers coming in. I’m a huge fan of what Ladson has to offer and could see him outperforming Higgins or Ross long term.
