16. . WR. Oklahoma. Marquise Brown. 9. player

Yeah, I know this is a massive reach. I’m not convinced that Marquise Brown is the best receiver in this class, nor do I believe that any of the receivers should be selected in the Top 10. That doesn’t mean that Brown won’t be the first WR taken, and it doesn’t mean that it won’t happen among the first 10 picks.

Josh Allen has flashed a little bit of potential, and pairing his big arm with a WR like Brown who is adept at making big plays and taking the top off of defenses, is what makes Brown the obvious choice if the Bills pick a WR.

And they almost have to take a WR. Currently, Buffalo’s No. 1 WR is undrafted free-agent Robert Foster, who has been a pleasant surprise but doesn’t project as a go-to WR in the NFL. They’ll need to identify one of those in this class, giving Allen a weapon to grow with.

Brown has had an excellent junior season in Norman, catching 75 passes for 1318 yards on a ridiculous 17.6 yards-per-catch with double-digit touchdowns. Brown showed a knack for coming up big when his team needed him most, producing an 11-catch, 243 yard, and two touchdown day in the Sooners’ 59-56 shootout win over West Virginia that clinched their spot in the Big 12 title game, ultimately leading to a berth in the College Football Playoff for the second year in a row.

The Bills have a young and talented defense that ranks 3rd in the NFL in defensive DVOA, but they need a lot more playmakers on offense. With young pieces in place on the defensive side of the ball, Buffalo can focus all their attention this offseason on big offensive upgrades.
