4. Tyrique Stevenson, CB

Cornerback Tyrique Stevenson is a four-star prospect with a huge upside from Miami-Dade County. The Hurricanes have struggled to close on cornerbacks in the Mark Richt era having lost guys like Asante Samuel Jr.and Patrick Surtain Jr to other schools. Yet Mike Rumph, a former NFL cornerback and current ‘Canes coach, has developed the lesser-known prospects into good corners. He has worked wonders with Michael Jackson, Jhavonte Dean, Trajan Bandy and Malek Young.

Stevenson is from Miami-Southridge which has produced a ton of college and NFL football talent over the decades. He has height at 6-foot-0 and size at 202 pounds that most high school cornerbacks don’t possess. This gives Stevenson the chance to come in and play right away with Dean and Jackson graduating and Young retired due to a neck injury.

Stevenson is a top 25 player in the nation and is being recruited by powers like Georgia and Auburn. However, Southridge has sent many prospects to the University of Miami over the years and could continue to be a pipeline to the ‘Canes.

Prediction: Signs with Miami
