3. Jared Harrison-Hunte, DT

Jared Harrison-Hunte is a senior at Christ the King in New York. He’s a three-star prospect that looks the part of Gerald Willis at 6-foot-4, 285 pounds heading into college. The Hurricanes are hitting New York hard in 2019 as Harrison-Hunte isn’t the only Big Apple prospect on Miami’s radar. If the big man signs with Miami he would be joined in his meeting room by four-star defensive tackle Jason Blissett out of Poly Prep in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Miami desperately needs to reload on the interior of the defensive line with the past two years, losing RJ McIntosh, Kendrick Norton, and Anthony Moten after 2017 and Willis and Tito Odenigbo in 2018. That leaves Jon Ford and Pat Bethel to hold down the position in 2019 and beyond. A big time signee like Blissett being joined by Harrison-Hunte would be huge for Jess Simpson, the Hurricanes’ defensive line coach.

Harrison-Hunte isn’t just being courted by Miami, he’s also being heavily recruited by Ohio State, Penn State and Michigan State which have all produced top-tier defensive linemen in the past three or four seasons.

Prediction: Signs with Miami
