5. “Wide Receiver U” continues

Sophomore wide receiver Tylan Wallace was nothing short of amazing in a breakout 2018, collecting 86 catches for 1,491 yards and 12 touchdowns. He finished as a Biletnikoff Award finalist, an annual award given to the NCAA’s best wide wideout.

The Fort Worth, Tex., native was a consistent deep threat for the high-octane Cowboys offense and often showed up in big games. Against Bedlam rival Oklahoma, for example, Wallace had 10 catches for 220 yards and two scores.

Wallace ranked second nationally in total receiving yards and has joined the pantheon of OSU pass-catching greats. In school history, he ranks fifth all-time in single-season receiving yardage and sixth in receptions for a season.

While his 2018 success may bring up the names of James Washington, Justin Blackmon, Rashaun Woods, and Hart Lee Dykes, Wallace’s upcoming junior year is what has OSU fans excited.
