6. RB Benny Snell scores four touchdowns against Mississippi State.

Kentucky running back Benny Snell is a talented young man, that much is for certain. He made a big difference this season for his team as he lined up behind Terry “Touchdown” Wilson play after play. He certainly put his money where his mouth is after calling himself the best running back in the SEC at Media Days in July.

However, this game was different. This game was a big-time show for Benny Snell. In all, he scored four touchdowns in the win over the then No. 14 Bulldogs. At this point of the season, everyone was still on the Mississippi State hype train. Nick Fitzgerald was still being talked about as the guy who could bring the Bulldogs back to SEC prominence. That was silenced in a hurry by the likes of Benny Snell.

After this game, Benny Snell owned the record for most touchdowns in a running back’s career at Kentucky. That kind of record, the first of two he would break in 2018, doesn’t happen by accident. This is a guy that Kentucky will miss quite a bit in 2019, no matter how good the second and third string guys are.
