1. Ian Book

Was there a greater rise at the quarterback position from 2017 to 2018 than from Ian Book? It’d be hard to argue seeing as the junior quarterback went from unknown commodity to one of the nation’s most consistent and effective passers.

In fact, he finished with 2,628 yards and 19 touchdowns with seven interceptions and completed 68 percent of his throws. He looked like a much better option than Brandon Wimbush and that’s why he stole the starting job from his fellow junior dual-threat. His emergence led to the transfer of Wimbush to UCF this offseason, leaving Book to control the offense without distractions.

A full offseason to improve on some things and develop new favorite targets will mean an uptick in offensive production from Book as a senior and a potential All-American bid — even if it’s an honorable mention.

Book has the talent to lead this team to the biggest stage and proved he can beat just about anyone on the schedule, but another year of experience under the belt can only mean good things.

Watch Book grow even more as a senior and lead this offense to bigger and better things. If there’s one thing to be excited about, it’s this senior quarterback.
