If you’re lucky enough to attend in person, get there early to be able to mill around. Typically, there are contests abound in the parking lots south and east of the stadium. These cook-offs range from best shrimp, dip, ribs, gumbo, wings, and dessert. Hungry yet?
Piggly Wiggly is promising a tailgate party for an early set of purchased tickets. In addition, individual tailgating teams for many of the aforementioned categories can compete from 9:30 a.m. to noon in the Ladd-Peebles Stadium parking lots. There are also contests for the best alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Winners even get the chance to show off their trophies on the football field during the Senior Bowl.
For many, Senior Bowl tailgating is a special annual tradition. Look for these parking lots to be filled with RVs with different signs, grills, and cooking equipment before the gridiron action begins.
