3. Future stars are born

At the Senior Bowl, you’re bound to witness a breakout performance that will soon be repeated on Sundays.

Consider recent Senior Bowl performances from future NFL star rookies: Kareem Hunt (of Toledo) rushing for 115 yards in 2017. Ameer Abdullah (of Nebraska) totaling more than 100 yards despite limited touches in 2015. Last year, Richmond’s Kyle Lauletta tallying three scores.

Might it be time for Biletnikoff finalist Andy Isabella of UMass this year? The Minuteman star had 102 catches for nearly 1,700 yards in 2018, yet was largely unappreciated due to the lower-tier Division I status of his team. Against Georgia on Nov. 7, Isabella tallied 15 receptions for 219 yards and two touchdowns. Think he’ll be intimidated by SEC defenders at the Senior Bowl?

Perhaps relatively unknown before this late January classic, several players could make a lasting impression. In addition, this game annually provides an inside scoop for the NFL Draft.
