No. 2: Lakia Henry, Linebacker

The Longhorns are left replacing nearly their entire linebacking core following the 2018 season. They’ve already started to reload, though, signing four-star prospects De’Gabriel Floyd and David Gbenda. But a commitment from junior college linebacker Lakia Henry would bolster the position even further.

Henry, who played at Dodge City C.C. in Kansas, is considered the No. 3 JUCO player in the country. A four-star recruit, Henry stands 6-foot-1 and weighs 225 pounds. While the incoming freshman might need to tack on weight or build more muscle mass, Henry should be another plug-and-play JUCO prospect from day one.

He holds 21 scholarship offers, including Alabama, Auburn, Miami and Texas A&M, but the Longhorns look to be the favorite to land him. Todd Orlando, Texas’ defensive coordinator and linebackers coach, will look to seal the deal on Feb. 2 when Henry takes an official visit to Austin.
