Florida State Football: Top 5 Targets for National Signing Day
1. Charles Moore, Strong-Side Defensive End
This one might not go Florida State’s way but he’s an important player to note. Charles Moore spent most of last year committed to Mississippi State and remained committed to the Bulldogs after Dan Mullen left for Florida. As it stands right now, Moore is favored to join fellow defensive end Jaren Handy at Auburn but had listed Florida State as a possible landing spot when he decommitted.
Florida State may not have a glaring need on the ends of the lines, especially with Quashon Fuller expecting to sign, but Moore is hard to ignore. Moore slices through offensive lines like they aren’t even there and racks up tackles for loss like its nothing. He can also play standing or grounded on the edge. He’s not the pass rusher that Fuller is, but he’s a great run stopper and has very quick feet.
If Florida State wants to shoot up the ranks and beat out in-state rival Florida in the recruiting rankings, picking up these guys would do huge things for their program and the direction it’s heading under Willie Taggart.
