Miami Football: Top 5 Targets for 2019 National Signing Day

2. Mark-Antony Richards, Athlete

247Sports Composite Ranking: No. 90 Nationally, No. 4 Athlete, No. 12 Recruit in Florida

Miami currently stands as the favorite to sign, the No. 4 Athlete nationally, Mark Antony-Richards heading into National Signing Day. Although playing some receiver and defensive back in high school, Richards prefers to play running back at the next level.

Miami returns second-leading rusher DeeJay Dallas and coveted running back Lorenzo Lingard but they lose their leading rusher Travis Homer. Miami already had the edge on Richards considering he is the brother of former Hurricane Ahmmon Richards who played for the Canes before he retired from football last season due to a neck injury.

Richards would serve as an all-purpose back, similar to Dallas who entered in as an athlete to play receiver before switching to running back. Richards has the speed of a speed back but the hands of a wide receiver and could make an impact early in his career alongside Lingard in a two-back system that Dan Enos will likely bring over from Alabama.
